I bought this book hoping to find more in depth information about creating kokedama than I have been able to find online but it is not here. The "book" is poorly translated into English so sentence structure is stilted and confusing and many words were mistranslated making the text completely meaningless.Much of the book is just repetition of the first few chapters over and over again with very little further explanation. There are ZERO illustrations that match the text or visually demonstrate techniques. There are photos of kokedama but none of them have descriptive text identifying the plants used and many of them seem to have been lifted from other publications and websites. (How do you say plagiarise in Japanese?)Even the section on what types of plants to use in kokedama is almost completely lacking in illustrations. There are a few photos there but no info on what plant is shown or how old the plant is. I get the impression that this section was simply copied and pasted from an older article on bonsai.So save your two bucks and just spend an afternoon researching kokedama online for free.

The book did help me to get started doing kokedama & answered questions about witch plants are best for this & their care. The picture on the book looks a lot better then the ones that I have done. I did loss a moss fern, it just didn't do well. I like the book though & I think l am learning the art of Kokedama my other ones look great
