Hey, hey! Look what is out today! I am so proud of this book, and I had nothing to do with it. But I have ALL the respect and awe for its author, @femmefrugality, who has been in this gig with me since the beginning and is a mad #powerhouse of financial knowledge and know-how. I have learned so much from her site over the years, and this book is packed with her smarts and wisdom. Grab a copy and get your financial act in order!

I've read a ton of personal finance books. I've also read a bunch of feminist books- was so happy to see that finally someone penned a book combining both. There are so many economic issues that are simply glazed over from typical financial books- pay inequality, medical/maternity leave, divorce- there's really not much out there that tackles these topics from this angle. Yes, there are plenty of women's finance books out there, but this one is a real gem. Buy this book! So many good and useful chapters in here!

I read this book in a binge session in 3 hours. It was awesome, insightful, and practical.If you're a woman who has never felt like a personal finance book was talking to you, or if you're feeling weighed down by society or life's difficulties, Brynne's book is your chance to get advice from a perspective you know well. And even if you're feeling like a financial rockstar, you can learn about the barriers you've overcome and how you can acknowledge where you've benefitted and better support other women.Brynne's book covers important topics like wage negotiation, why more women are becoming entrepreneurs, the "elephant in the womb", the costs of divorce, finding ways out of poverty, and so much more. All while giving crucial consideration to heteronormativity, ableism, racism, and other types of discrimination that make building wealth harder for some women than others.If I haven't made my point yet, I love this book. It's an important topic and one that Brynne handles with incredible grace, weaving in stories from real women, outlining smart policies that could improve the gender gaps, and providing steps you can take today to improve your financial life.

I received an advanced copy of this book. To say I was impressed with the preparation and research put into this book as an understatement. You can tell a lot of thought was into writing this! This book and it's message goes deep into women's issue as it relates to money. Being that I work with women around money matters you would think I've seen it all, but I definitely took a lot of value from this book. It is a must read for women or anyone wanting to understand women's issues around money matters.

Men, The Feminist Financial Handbook is a great read for you, too. The money advice works across the board and the concepts discussed are revelatory and should be mandatory reading for everyone. Understanding the extra challenges faced by women, people of color, and all of the other groups addressed in this book will open your eyes and help you be part of the solution.
